Jill Konrath Shows Consultants How to Snag Corporate Clients

January 10, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
The Bay Area Consultants Network hosts noted author and speaker Jill Konrath at the Sausalito Yacht Club on January 26th, 2007, from 7:30-10:00 AM. Any consultant who wants to get bigger and better clients is encouraged to attend. The cost is $65 in advance by credit card, $75 by cash or check at the door if space permits.

BACN’s regular monthly meetings feature local speakers, but once each year the group hosts a special event and brings in a prominent marketing expert from out of town. Last year’s special event starred Jeffrey J. Fox of "How to Become a Rainmaker" fame.

BACN’s Executive team had no trouble choosing Jill Konrath, author of "Selling to Big Companies," for this year’s special event. Not only do her interviews in The New York Times, Business Week, Sales and Marketing Management, and Entrepreneur attest to her stature as a guru of selling services, but members of BACN’s Executive Team have personal experience with Jill’s work and methods.

As BACN Executive Team member Ron Person of Tor Consulting says,

"My sales success skyrocketed when I started following Jill’s advice. The first four times I followed her recommendations I got four appointments with decision makers. Two are now clients. Her book is one of two that I recommend to all consultants."

Topics for the January 26th event include:

* Why filling the pipeline is no longer your best sales strategy.
* Who your biggest competitor really is.
* Why most networking is a waste of time.
* How the traditional seller is being eclipsed by today’s seller.

There will be an extended Q & A session to allow attendees to ask specific questions about their own businesses.

Seating at the Sausalito Yacht Club is limited to 100 people, and more than half those spaces are already taken. Register now at www.bacnetwork.com!
