DALLAS, TX – Saturday, January 6, 2007 – Eddie Deen & Company will bring his world famous Texas BBQ to the 2007 Texas Inauguration for Governor Rick Perry and Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst

Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the West Capitol Lawn

Eddie Deen is a shining example of what Texans do best. Serving his fourth consecutive Texas Inaugural he will be bringing a crew of 200 staff to serve the largest BBQ in country. Expected to serve over 12,000 plus hungry guests, Eddie promises to serve them all in 30 minutes.

Here are some of the handmade, cooked from scratch menu items you can expect to taste at this year’s inauguration:

Mesquite Smoked Brisket- 800 whole Smoked Sausage – 2000 lbs (1 ton)
Grilled Chicken- 2000 lbs (1 ton) Eddie Deen’s Signature Bar-B-Que Sauce – 150 Gallons

» This will be Eddie Deen’s fourth Gubernatorial Inaugural BBQ starting with George W. Bush’s first Texas Inauguration in 1995 (The others being 1999, 2003). The total stands at 60,000 guests being fed Eddie Deen’s BBQ on the Capitol Grounds.
» Eddie has fed over 45,000 guests at two Presidential Inaugurations in Washington D.C. in 2001 and again in 2005.
» Eddie Deen graduated from Texas A&M University in 1979 B.Ed. Agriculture Education
» 30 buffet rows will be set (60 lines) for the 2007 Texas Inaugural BBQ

Media Opportunities:

The Eddie Deen & Company kitchens in Terrell will be available for media shots and coverage of crews prepping and cooking Friday Jan. 12 through Sunday, Jan 14.
