HOUSTON, TX. - Prudential Gary Greene Realtors' Northwest office recently welcomed new manager John Barba, who joins current manager Margo Frederking in directing the activities of the thriving office.

Over the last several years, Barba has been involved in consulting with several Prudential and Cendant companies across the Midwest on mergers, acquisitions and franchising. He also served as general manager for Prudential Texas Properties in Dallas/Fort Worth where, over a two-year period, he tripled the size of that operation.

Barba also has experience as a commercial appraiser and holds a degree in finance from the University of North Texas.

"We feel very fortunate to have the combined talents and skills of John Barba and Margo Frederking at work for us at Prudential Gary Greene's Northwest office," said Mark Woodroof, partner, Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors.

Barba said he chose to align himself with Prudential Gary Greene because he had previously worked for Prudential Real Estate on a national level and was involved with Gary Greene's decision to become part of the Prudential network.

"I have worked with the owners of Prudential Gary Greene on and off for seven years. I found them to be good operators, good people and an organization I wanted to be a part of," he said.

"Part of my responsibility is to grow Prudential Gary Greene in the Northwest corridor through recruitment and the addition of offices," he said. "I am also involved in career development, helping current agents and new agents to our company build their business. We do that through coaching, marketing support and technology."

Prudential Gary Greene's Northwest office serves the Highway 290 corridor vicinity, which includes areas north of Clay Road and west of 249.

Barba said that the market in this area is thriving. "There is a lot of new construction. It creates the perfect environment for growth because there are all kinds of properties available for buyers," he said.

"There are a lot of great developments going in and some that have been here for awhile," he said. "Some areas include Cole's Crossing, Bridgelands and Rock Creek. The variety of property types and good schools are what make them stand out."

Barba said the forecast for the 2007 housing market is very positive. "I think we will continue to have what is for Texas very good growth and appreciation. Houston is a very desirable location right now for corporations, employers and homeowners," he said.

Prudential Gary Greene Realtors' thriving Northwest office can be sure that, with Barba and Frederking at the helm, the office will experience even greater success.

The office is located at 17418 Northwest Freeway. Barba and Frederking can be reached at 281-890-4024 or through www.GaryGreene.com.
