Albany Brokerage Hires Real Estate Agent Specializing in Second-Time Buyers

Dade Canfield, an 18 year resident of Rensselaer County, has recently joined TechValley Homes Real Estate ( as an independent Realtor and specialist in second-time home buyers. Canfield bought her first house at the age of 21 and handled all the details herself. Less than two years later, she sold the house and pocketed a $30K profit before buying a “for sale by owner” as her own second home. Her commercial contractor husband urged her to look into a real estate career and two years later she was a top producing Realtor® in the Capital Region of New York State.

Canfield comes to TechValleyHomes from Coldwell Banker Prime Properties in Delmar, “I’m excited to be returning to a more relaxed atmosphere and find the character of TechValley Homes alluring. I was first introduced to TechValley Real Estate when working with a listing agent. The agent was unable to meet me to show a house on the weekend, and in a matter of moments Miguel Berger arrived to let us in. I couldn’t believe the president of a company was so dedicated! I had worked for smaller, more personal company before going to Coldwell and I didn’t want the big firm and franchise atmosphere anymore. After meeting Miguel, I started immediately started making plans to work for TechValley Homes.”

Canfield isn’t a traditionalist or a typical real estate agent. A world-traveler with a German mother and a father from Holland, she had an earlier career as a music video editor, but chose to raise her young daughters in upstate New York rather than following the job into NYC. For the last 16 years, she’s coached softball and she currently volunteers with Hospice and community service organizations.
