2nd Annual Miriam Foundation Montreal Open Full Tilt Poker Tournament Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament

Montreal, QC – The 2nd Annual Miriam Foundation Montreal Open Full Tilt Poker Texas Hold’em Tournament will take place on Monday - Thursday, March 26-29, 2007 at Le Windsor Ballroom in Montreal.

Up to 1800 people are expected to participate during this 4-day event, the largest Canadian charity poker event. The final elimination round with 20 players will take place in Las Vegas on the Victoria Day weekend in May 2007, with those players eligible to share in a large prize pool valued at over $150,000 US. The top nine finalists will also receive entry into the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas in July 2007.

The action in Montreal and Las Vegas will be filmed once again by CGTV, Canada's gaming TV network, and aired nationally with additional television distribution anticipated in the United States and Europe.

An added feature on the final night of Thursday, March 29th is the Miriam Foundation's 7th Annual Car Raffle Draw, which will also take place at the venue and attract an additional audience of 300 people.

Howard Lederer and other Full Tilt Poker pros will be on hand during the four-day event in Montreal. Howard “The Professor” Lederer (born in Concord, New Hampshire), is known as “The Professor” because of his demeanor, analytical style and long history of wins, including two WSOP bracelets, two World Poker Tour titles, two Hall of Fames titles, and three Bellagio titles. One of the world’s top poker players, Lederer is part of the design team for Full Tilt Poker, an online poker website that launched in July, 2004 and the title sponsor of this event. Other sponsors to date include media partner CJAD/CHOM, The Suburban, C3 Entertainment, Lazarus Charbonneau and Le Groupe Gravel.
