Novel Action, Inc announced today the launch of an innovative new program which connects its members with new up and coming authors who are also Novel Action members. Novel Action is a membership based online book exchange store with a centralized inventory of used books. It allows avid readers to quickly, easily and cost-effectively exchange books they’ve read for other books they want. Novel Action offers both fiction and nonfiction books in either paperback or hardcover. Members select any books they want from the NovelAction.com website and send in an equal number of their books in exchange. The company offers flat rate shipping for up to 6 pounds of books and there are no transaction fees. All book exchanges are done directly with Novel Action, and all books offered through the NovelAction.com book exchange meet established quality guidelines.

“The idea for the New Author Connection program arose when we noticed we had published authors joining Novel Action” said Dianne Denton, Novel Action Founder and CEO. “We see this as a wonderful opportunity to introduce our members to up and coming authors, while providing the authors with additional exposure.” Since its inception late last year, Novel Action has attracted members nationwide, and the company is now investigating expansion into selected international markets.

Cindy Davis, author of 5 published novels, became a Novel Action member last year because she’s an avid reader and likes the varied selection that Novel Action offers. Referring to the company’s New Author Connection program, Davis stated “it’s a great addition, both for book lovers and authors. It lets book buyers learn about authors they may otherwise never have heard of, while enabling authors to find new fans. I’m with a smaller publisher who doesn’t offer any promotion so I was thrilled when the Novel Action team offered me a way to get out there.”

According to Ms. Denton, the authors neither provide, nor receive, any compensation for participating in the New Author Connection program. Through the program, Novel Action members are provided with a profile of the author, who is also a member, and if desired, a copy of the author’s book is placed on the site. “Cindy Davis provided a copy of her latest book, Voice From the Ashes, for the NovelAction.com site, so members have an easy, risk-free way to try her work, and if the impression is favorable, those individuals will likely purchase her other works and perhaps influence others to do so as well. It’s the classic win-win” said Denton.
