Businesses from the North West are well represented at this years national ISPA awards. Manchester based UKFast is in the running to reclaim the Best Business Hosting trophy for the third consecutive year. The B2B ISP is also hoping to beat local rival Zen Internet to the Best Business ISP crown.

The awards, which acknowledge the achievements of businesses in the Internet services sector are recognised as the benchmark for the industry in the UK. Managing director, Lawrence Jones is thrilled to be heading down to London with another chance to claim accolades for the North.

With only one finalist in the Best Business ISP category based in the South East the shortlist is a great boost for regional businesses. “There’s fantastic representation from our region this year and it just goes to show that northern talent is taking the lead online,” says Jones.

Both UKFast and Zen Internet are current holders of ISPA awards and Jones wishes his rival the best of luck. “Winning these awards is crucial for Manchester as it moves towards a status as one of the UK’s strongest digital cities.”

The ISPA monitors Internet Service Providers across the UK for 3 months and releases finalist’s details shortly before the ceremony, which takes place this year at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London on Thursday 15 February.
