The 34’ catamaran that launched over the weekend was custom built for a buyer in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where she will serve as a tour boat for vacationers that want to enjoy sunset tours, snorkeling, or just a sunny day on the Pacific.

Sea trials executed in Biscayne Bay, Miami on Saturday went extremely well as she was able to turn on a dime and provided a smooth ride despite choppy waters and incessant wind.

La Gringa, as her new owners have named her, accommodates up to 40 passengers. The custom build included special features such as a shower system, two dive platforms, custom floor plan complete with bar, two dining areas, iPod capable sound system, and trampoline area. The 22’ beam allows for ample storage space and room to move, even when packed to capacity.

Powered by twin 115 hp Suzukis, she cruises nicely at 18-22 knots. The use of outboards will allow La Gringa’s owners to operate her in skinny water and beach it with ease.

About Versacat

Versacats are, as their name implies, indeed very versatile catamarans. Available in U.S. Coast Guard certified 34' x 20'(40 passenger) and 40' x24'(49 passenger) versions (our 30'can also be USCG certified), the Versacat is the ideal platform for eco-tours, excursions, dive and snorkel trips, short-haul ferry operations, and other commercial applications.

The beamy Versacat offers unparalleled deck space for its length. This space allows for a myriad of different configurations.

The use of outboards and the Versacat’s composite construction make these boats extremely fuel efficient. Small outboards provide optimum power while allowing you to operate in skinny water, facilitate easy servicing of the engines, and keep replacement costs to a minimum.

Being wider, more stable, and more economical than competing vessels, the Versacat is definitely a very compelling option for commercial operators.

All Versacats are custom built by hand and can be delivered in 3 to 6 months.
