Serco consultant Lucy Stockbridge was invited to join a panel of experts on Click On, a new IT programme for BBC Radio 4 this week. The series, presented by Rajesh Mirchandani, finds out how modern technology touches people's lives exploring topics such as online security, Web 2.0, the digital divide and the connected home.

This week’s programme, the second in the series, features a discussion of the issues of the connected home, the barriers that are currently present and the reality of the connected home in the future. Lucy was invited along to give an expert opinion of the consumer challenges involved. Lucy says:

“Whilst the ‘connected home’ is now a technical possibility and gathering interest in the technology world, its ultimate nature and success lies in the hands of consumers. Understanding consumers needs and producing useful, usable solutions is therefore vital”

The show broadcasts on Wednesday 7 February 2007 at 9.00pm, and is available to download at
