New Earth Records Music Becomes Eco-Friendly

Santa Fe, NM: New age record label switches to more “eco friendly” materials.

Since November of last year New Earth Records has been using plant-based inks processed chlorine free in all of its CD inserts. To further help the environment, the materials are also printed on Save-A-Tree paper.

According to the Save-A-Tree website, Save-A-Tree “is manufactured from 100% post-consumer fiber; no new trees are used in the manufacturing of this paper.”

The paper used for the New Earth Records album inserts is also processed chlorine free. This process uses only paper that contains no virgin materials, or materials that are traceable to forest sources.

What does this mean for the environment? It means that at least one concerned company is standing up and making commitments in the name of planetary salvation. And their music isn’t bad either.
