CanvasPaperandStone.com is pleased to announce the opening of its new gallery with an exhibition of works by Aleathia Brown, Carol Cole, Keith Morris, Willie Torbert and Nathaniel Barnes. This group of artists is well known in their respective media. The exhibit also marks the release of the limited edition giclee print, The Truth, by Nathaniel Barnes.

The opening reception for this exhibit will be held on Sunday, February 25 from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. The exhibit will continue through March 31, 2007 in the CanvasPaperandStone Gallery at 2611 Frederick Douglas Blvd, Suite 2N in Harlem, New York City. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 6:00 by appointment only.

The Truth by Nathaniel Barnes is a cubistic image denoting a man, or possibly a woman, with shackles on one side and books on the other. Nathaniel Barnes received early inspiration from artists such as Phillip Henry, Ken Spencer and Barrington Watson, all from his native island of Jamaica. Although most of Barnes’ works are considered figurative expressionism, some reflect impressionism and include portraits, still life and black and white creations.

Canvas Paper and Stone is the successor to American Vision 145, a gallery originally established in April 1999. It continues to lead the way in a Harlem cultural arts renaissance by producing world-class art exhibitions. Averlyn Archer, CEO and Curator, is an avid art collector and attorney. She has created a new online locale for art enthusiasts – CanvasPaperandStone.com. Viewers are welcome to access additional information and a copy of this press release on canvaspaperandstone.com.
