IRA Book Named Book of the Year Finalist

Retire Rich With Your Self-Directed IRA, by Nora Peterson, has been named a finalist in the Book of the Year Awards, sponsored by ForeWord Magazine. The awards, which will be announced at BookExpo America in Washington DC on June 1, 2007, are designed to allow libraries and booksellers to share in the discovery of some of the best new releases from independent publishers.

Asked what she thought made Retire Rich With Your Self-Directed IRA a standout in the competition, Peterson gave credit to Jo Moneymaker, the fictional character the author created to demonstrate the investment principles covered in the book. “As Retire Rich begins, Jo has recently lost her job to downsizing. She’s got a hefty 401(k) that she has to make a decision about–pronto. The book tags along with Jo as she explores the opportunties available to her by rolling over her 401(k) to an Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) and as she makes investment decisions designed to grow her account and protect her assets for her heirs. I think the approach makes the book easy to read and understand.”

In addition to Retire Rich With Your Self-Directed IRA, she is the author of Wall Street Lingo, and investment dictionary to be released February 28, 2007 and Past Imperfect, a mystery released in 2006.
