K&S Associates Awarded $16.5 Million Contract to Renovate Two Residence Halls at University of Missouri-Columbia

St. Louis, Missouri …The University of Missouri-Columbia has awarded a $16.5 million contract to K&S Associates, Inc. of St. Louis to renovate Schurz Hall and modify Bingham Hall.

Renovations to the 8-story 256-student room Schurz Hall include new room configurations, finishes, windows and doors, roof, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and reconfiguration of the front lobby. Modifications to Bingham Hall’s lower level will include reconfiguring space to accommodate Residential Life staff offices, a new kitchen, finishes, glazing, conference areas, integrated computer workstation space within the lounge and quiet study rooms.

The project architect is International Architects Atelier, assisted by W.L. Cassell & Associates (MEP), Structural Engineer Associates (structural consultant) and FP&C Consultants, Inc. (code consultant), all of which have offices in Kansas City, Missouri.

Completion is scheduled for the summer of 2008.
