The System Shop adds Futures Contract Settlement module to C3

HOUSTON - The System Shop announced today that it had added new functionality to its C3 energy marketing / operations software suite to include a Futures Contract settlements module.

"One of our strategic goals for C3 has been to continuously enhance it's energy trading functionality", said James Wroten, President. "Our Derivative Settlements module was one example of this for managing swap and option settlements, and now with the functionality for merc contracts, we've added the next logical layer to C3's energy trading suite."

The Futures Contract module has the ability to track open and closed positions by product and by broker and automatically generate net P&L value summaries on a daily basis per broker account. Additionally, it books cash payments and receipts and maintains net equity values against daily commodity pricing.

"Gathering all your daily merc contract information together in one place automatically and integrating it with the existing financial systems can be a huge timesaver for an organization, not to mention the ability to have much better accuracy and timeliness for processing that information", said Wroten.
