Century Group, Inc. Develops enhanced curved crossing designs and construction processes for railroads in areas where highway and railway grade crossings are installed in curved railway track grades

Century dedicates efforts in the development of concrete railway crossing panels. With extensive expertise in railroad construction, Century initiated an intense program to enhance the safety and dependability of curved railway crossings using their proven processes of precast concrete construction and made to purpose design engineering, Century can help evaluate and provide the best solution to the most complicated curved track crossings, such as Compound Curve or Reverse Curve projects.

Century Group President, Rusty Vincent, states that the railroad products division has developed inhouse resources to work with owners, engineers, and railroad contractors to develop and manufacture custom grade crossings for every application. Their staff will ensure that designs and specifications meet all technical requirements as well as federal, state and local legal laws. Recent projects have included such complicated installations as compound reverse grade curves where one curve reverses into an opposite curve at varying angles and degrees of curvature, requiring technical knowledge of onsite measurements to determine correct tie spacing and design of tangent, transition and curved panels to ensure a successful and safe crossing installation. Century is also able to provide detailed drawings and installation instructions in order to support any railroad grade crossing project.
