Bahwan CyberTek shifts global corporate headquarters to Chennai

Chennai, March 8, 2007: Bahwan CyberTek Pvt. Ltd. (BCT), a US$45 million global provider of hybrid technology solutions is keeping the commitment it made two years ago of making Chennai as its global corporate headquarters. As on February 1, 2007, the company has announced that all of its foreign operations are fully owned subsidiaries of the Indian arm.

In a related development the company has restructured its business operations in India, which will now be brought under N P Menon, Chief Operating Officer, who will directly report to the CEO of the BCT Group. All global development, BPO and training operations will be consolidated at the new 1.8 lakh sq.ft on the IT corridor in Chennai, which the company announced at a press conference in September.

According to Durga Prasad, Chief Executive Officer of the BCT Group, “We are pleased that India which has been at the center of our strategy and growth is now THE flagship arm. The move brings twin advantages to the BCT group. First, it allows us to leverage the high quality talent available here to effectively support our global delivery model. And second, it positions us well to tap into growing market demand for many of our Cuecent range of products here in India.”

Added N P Menon designated head of the consolidated Indian operations,”India will witness all round growth – from significant ramping up of development presence, expansion of our sales footprint in India to increased thrust in the R&D center for the Cuecent product division located here. The goal is to make India among the largest market for our products besides being BCT’s development/R&D hub.”
