SPATE magazine got a chance to catch up with Nashawn Kearse star of the movie "My Brother" to talk about the subject matter and what it was like working on a movie like this. "My Brother" is directed by Frank Capra, Stanley Kubrick, Howard Hawks. This is a film about two young men that are brothers and grow up in a bad neighborhood but one is retarded. They lost their mom and now are left to raise themselves with little money. A story that is never told. I know alot of people that can relate to it, but will the people go out and see the movie? "To me this part was a dream come true" says Nashawn Kearse about his role in "My Brother".

"We at SPATE Magazine would love everyone to go out and see this movie. It's a different subject matter, it's not just urban kids shooting at each other. The story is really human. When ever you have a story of substance about African Americans the movie goers don't generally go out and support it." says CEO of SPATE magazine Antoine King. I want the people to go and see this one. If you don't go see a movie this month please go and support this movie. For more information about "My Brother" visit the website www.mybrotherthemovie.com
