St. Louis Society for the Blind & Visually Impaired Announces Officers for 2007

MARCH 12, 2007, St. Louis, Missouri … David C. Ekin, President and CEO of The St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired, which administers productive programs for individuals throughout metropolitan St. Louis, today announced officers who will serve the organization in 2007. They are:

* Chair, Gene Maggard - Regional Manager, AT&T
* Vice Chair, Larry Evans - Partner, Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin
* Secretary, Alice Conway - Assistant to General Counsel, Monsanto
* Assistant Secretary, Sophia Chung - Associate Professor, St. Louis University Eye Institute
* Treasurer, Ron Hampp - Vice President, ICON Contracting
* Assistant Treasurer, Cindy Heuermann - Stewardship Development Associate, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

Mr. Ekin said, “Our volunteer officers bring diverse professional experience to the Society as we work to expand the Society’s service mission and community programs in 2007.”

Founded in 1911, The St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency providing education, training and vision rehabilitation services to more than 1,500 individuals annually who are blind or visually impaired to enhance their physical, psychological and social rehabilitation and independence.
