Celebrities Change their Image for Comic Relief Portraits

March 15, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
This Red Nose Day, a number of celebrities have given up their time to pose for a series of portraits that will be going up for auction on eBay in order to raise money for Comic Relief.

The portraits, organised and taken by modelling agency Sapphires Model Management, have been taken in black and white, with an item of red in colour in each shot to signify Comic Relief. They are all hand signed by the subject making this is a great chance for fans and autograph hunters alike to own a unique piece of memorabilia, and at the same time do their part to help those less fortunate than themselves.

Celebs have even taken the opportunity to change their image for the photographs. Among others, Linda Barker has replaced her cute and smiley look for a sexy editorial style photograph; Cannon and Ball have been captured stony faced; and The Chuckle Brothers have done a u-turn from their usual madcap antics, being captured in a retro “rat-pack” style shot at a snooker table.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to Comic Relief, helping poor and disadvantaged people across Africa and the UK to change their lives.

Neely Reyes, owner of Sapphires Model Management and the creative force behind the portraits, says, “As a child I would fundraise for Comic Relief every year doing things like bake sales, sponsored walks, jumble sales and things like that, but now I’m in the position to do something like this I couldn’t resist. Basically this was a perfect opportunity to do what my team and I do best to make money for charity!”

The auctions start on the 14th for 10 days and there will be only 5 prints of each photograph up for grabs, making them even more special and rare. People interested in bidding can visit www.sapphiresmodel.com a few days before the 14th March to find the link to the auctions.
