Save the Date “Aging is Everyone’s Future” Conference on May 15th at Lombardos

DATELINE: BRAINTREE; QUINCY AND RANDOLPH, MASS…Join South Shore Elder Services on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. for their annual “Aging is Everyone’s Future - Let’s get there in great shape!” conference which will be held at Lombardos in Randolph.

This year’s theme is “wellness” which revolves around maintaining physical, financial, mental fitness as you plan for the future. Special guest speaker Wayne Westcott, Ph.D., CSCS, Fitness Research Director of the South Shore YMCA Quincy, will lead the evening’s festivities, which will include a light dinner.

In addition to Wayne Westcott’s presentation, participants can choose to attend one of the following workshops:

• In Workshop A, Joanie Winberg, Certified Laughter Coach will offer insight and share her humorous outlook on “When Work/Life Balance Collide”.

• In Workshop B, Diane McCafferty of the Alzheimer’s Association will teach attendees how to live a brain healthy lifestyle in her “Maintain Your Brain: How to Live a Brain Healthy Lifestyle™ ”.

• Workshop C is for Chinese speaking audiences. Cynthia Mark from Greater Boston Legal Services as well as staff from South Shore Elder Services will present “Legal Aspects of Public Benefits and Housing”.

Attendees will be able to visit a variety of booths providing information on Exercise, Financial Planning, Long Term Care Insurance, Housing Options, Medical Service, Health Care Needs, etc. Raffle prizes will also be awarded.

Admission to the conference is $15.00 per person (which includes the light dinner).
