Villa Valenti Restaurant and Sauce Company invites people to buy their famous Pasta sauces in order to help make a difference in the lives of abused children. With a choice of Traditional, Primavera and Hot and Spicy flavors, patrons can buy their favorite Villa Valenti pasta sauce at any Hannaford supermarket in Northeast USA. In addition, the sauces can also be bought online through the company’s website at http://villavalenti.com/Shop.php The company offers doorstep delivery within the US. Every penny earned from the sale of its sauce is donated to the well known charity, Prevent Child Abuse in America (PCA).

In 2004, the company first started bottling its sauces after more than half a century of being encouraged to do so by the patrons of their restaurant. Today, the company has more than its sauce to be proud of. Having started more than two years ago, donations are currently being made to the PCA Chapters in four US states. By the close of 2007, the company is hopeful that all 40 Chapters of the PCA across US will benefit from their donations.

Located in Troy, New York, Ralph Valenti and his family have been serving the finest in traditional, home-style Italian cuisine since 1950. Speaking about the company’s support of this noble cause, owner Ralph Valenti says, “For years our customers had been telling us that we should bottle our sauce. When we finally did, we wanted to do something good with the proceeds. We are a very loving and supportive family, but we understand that not all families are like ours and not all children have devoted and compassionate parents. We feel that by contributing to child abuse prevention we are helping give as many children as we can the childhood that we were fortunate to have.”

Going on to explain their charitable work, Valenti says, “We decided to take all the proceeds from the sale of our sauce to Prevent Child Abuse in America. Although this has added up to thousands of dollars in the last two years, we know we have only made a small beginning and we have a long way to go. We are driven by the strong feeling that if all of us in the private sector did just one thing to help others, many of the world’s problems will just go away. While this may sound naïve to many people, we have faith in our belief and our patrons strongly support us. We hope that many others will come forward to help abused children by just buying our sauce. That they will love their Italian home cooked food thereafter, will be an added feel-good bonus!”

The Villa Valenti Sauce Company and Prevent Child Abuse will help eliminate child abuse by providing and promoting programs that allow children to live in nurturing families within supportive communities. Child abuse is an intricate problem with abundant causes and requires a variety of prevention programs, aimed at reaching different populations with differing needs. In conjunction with Missing Children, the Villa Valenti Sauce Company will provide and promote programs to find these children.

About Villa Valenti Restaurant and Sauce Company: Ralph Valenti’s paternal grandfather Ralph started the family’s restaurant business with the original Volcano Restaurant, which was a legendary landmark in Troy, New York. After the Volcano closed, Ralph’s father Saverio (Sam to all who knew him) opened his own restaurant, Villa Valenti in 1950. The Villa Valenti Restaurant opened its doors to the public with one goal in mind; to serve their customers the best they knew how, combined with the stubborn desire to stick to old-fashioned techniques. For over half a century, they serve traditional, homemade Italian dishes made with their prize-winning sauces. The Villa Valenti Sauce Company is very proud of its partnership with Prevent Child Abuse and Missing Children and trusts that it will be a long and profitable collaboration.
