Novalis® Plants Receive Industry Recognition

March 28, 2007 — Atlanta — The ‘Double Knock Out®’ and ‘Pink Double Knock Out®’ roses, two exclusive, shrub rose variety offerings from Novalis®, a professional Horticulture trade consortium made up of significant perennial and woody ornamental growers spanning the United States, have been recognized and awarded top industry honors.

The ‘Pink Double Knock Out’ rose has been awarded Best New Plant by NMPRO magazine’s 2007 New Plant Pavilion, which was determined by a majority vote when compared with 38 plants from 17 participating companies at the 2007 American Nursery and Landscape Association’s Management Clinic in Louisville, Ky.

The ‘Double Knock Out’ rose has been concurrently honored as a top new variety by the American Rose Society’s “2006 Roses In Review” report. ‘Double Knock Out’ received an 8.4 garden rating among competitive roses in the Top Ten Big Roses category, and received the highest rating in the group. It reaches 4 feet high and wide, and grows in full sun. It is hardy in USDA Hardiness Zones 4-9.

‘Pink Double Knock Out’ has an abundance of double, hot-pink flowers that do not require deadheading. It combines the disease resistant attributes that made ‘Double Knock Out’ such a popular plant that is suitable for many garden spaces. It reaches 4 feet high and wide, and grows in full sun. It is hardy in USDA Hardiness Zones 4-9.
