( EMAILWIRE.COM, June 14, 2004 ) HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. — eMagin Corporation (AMEX: EMA), the leading manufacturer of active matrix OLED-on-silicon displays, is providing its award-winning SVGA microdisplay as a key element in a new Hand-Held Thermal Imager (HHTI) from DRS Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: DRS).

Based on DRS's VOx uncooled microbolometer engine, the HHTI is ideally suited to critical security operations, such as border surveillance, force protection, physical security and search and rescue - operations where speed, agility and performance are critical to mission success and personnel safety. The HHTI provides high-sensitivity and high-quality imaging in total darkness and other adverse conditions (such as smoke and haze), as well as in daylight operations. The device is compact, lightweight and modular, making it extremely portable. Its ergonomic design makes it easy for the user to select options and enhancements. And its high-resolution, high-performance imager allows users to detect vehicles and man-sized targets at increased ranges.

"DRS's HHTI offers soldiers and others unparalleled high-resolution, high-quality imagery in darkness, smoke and fog as well as in broad daylight," said Fred L. Marion, president of DRS Technologies' Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group.

"The HHTI delivers a truly impressive amount of high-quality image data," said Susan Jones, chief marketing and strategy officer, eMagin Corporation. "eMagin's OLED display plays a key role in delivering the HHTI's wide field-of-view immersion display system. HHTI provides a perspective that is very real and clear."

DRS will be exhibiting its thermal imaging equipment in booth A24 at Eurosatory 2004 from Monday, June 14, through Friday, June 18, in Paris-Nord, Villepinte, France. (For more information, see http://eurosatory.janes.com).
