(March 2007, Los Angeles) Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA) founder Jon Chelesnik is back on the air. Chelesnik has joined Sporting News Radio Network as a fill-in sports anchor and talk show host. STAA is the sportscasting industry’s premiere resource for sports radio talent, sportscasting jobs and job placement assistance.

Chelesnik, who spent 1999 – 2003 as a talk show host on ESPN Radio Network, is excited to be back on the air.

“Helping other sportscasters develop their careers over the past three years has given me the itch to get back on the air,” Chelesnik says. “The rapid growth of Sportscasters Talent Agency of America and the willingness of Sporting News Radio to give me a few hours each month formed the perfect situation.”

Chelesnik stresses that his return to a limited on-air schedule will not impact the continued growth of STAA.

“Since the first of the year, STAA has added an administrative assistant, Peg Payne, and a webmaster, Melodie Turori. They have been invaluable in helping us handle our swift expansion. Without them, I couldn’t have sought the Sporting News Radio opportunity. Plus, Bill Pugh (SNR PD) and Craig Larson (SNR EP) have been very accommodating”
