April 2007, Miami Florida: Empower Med, Inc. announces the immediate release of Ultimate EMR on Sourceforge.net and Plone.org under the GNU General Public License. Ultimate EMR is the first Plone(tm) based, full-featured, web-enabled Electronic Medical Record software.

Hosting for Ultimate EMR starts at $125/m per provider. Extra fee's may apply for complex situations but the average small practice should have initial fee's under $1500, usually reserved for data migration, site customizations (limited). Maintenance and Support is included in the monthly fee.

Ultimate EMR has been in development for 4 years. The company currently has 8000 patients in system. Ultimate EMR offers completely web-based scheduling, charting, prescription writing and billing and is available now.
