Organisers of the seventh annual Linton Music Festival which takes place in June in Herefordshire were celebrating last night when they secured a sponsorship deal with a Gloucester Design and PR Agency.

The 3-day music festival is held in the grounds of a pub called the Alma Inn in Linton and is a not for profit event that has so far raised well over £20,000 for charities in its surrounding areas. 10 Yetis Design and Public Relations based in Gloucester heard that the organisers were on the look out for main sponsors for the event and got in contact.

Jill Tovey is the Managing Director of www.10Yetis.co.uk and she commented,

“We are really proud to be involved in what is not just one of the top events in the South West but is also one which does an immense amount of good work for a number of charities in the area and is run entirely by volunteers”.

She continued, “Nationally we have made a strong name for ourselves for being an agency that likes to take a different approach and I don’t recall seeing any other public relations or design company putting its name to a music festival”.

Martin Haines is a key member of the team that volunteers to organise the Linton Festival and he commented,

“The sponsorship money will help to ensure our 7th annual festival goes with a bang and we are grateful for the help and support of all our sponsors not least 10 Yetis”.

The festival takes place from the 22nd to the 24th of June and tickets are now on sale starting at £14 with camping available at the site.

The Linton Festival was started in 2001 when some of the regulars of The Alma Inn realised it would be cheaper to get The Producers to come to Linton, rather than hire a mini bus and drive all the way to Poole in Dorset.

Now in its 7th year, the Linton Music Festival has come a long way, growing into a spectacular 3-day festival and establishing itself as one of the areas top summer events, attracting top international artists and earning glowing reviews in the general & musical press.

Along with the music there is a beer festival organised by the Alma Inn (CAMRA joint pub of the year 2005) run in parallel. Over 20 top quality local real ales & ciders will be available to quench your thirst over the weekend.
