Toronto, Canada (PR Leap) April 7 – Amidst the glorious backdrop of palm trees and bright lights, a congregation of voice actors and voice talents from around the world attended VOICE 2007, nestled at the Palace Station Hotel on Sahara, just minutes from The Strip in Las Vegas. The experts from Voices.com sponsored the 5-day inaugural event, bringing their own special brand and Canadian flair to Voice International.

Highlights at VOICE 2007 included a lecture with the legendary voice talent and author Rodney Saulsberry, a tribute to actor and voice actor Lennie Weinrib (1935-2006) presented by his daughter Linda Weinrib, a crowd pleasing master class with character voice over master Pat Fraley, a special AFTRA-sponsored appearance by Don LaFontaine of movie trailer voice over fame, and a stellar one-man performance “Not Just Another Pretty Voice” by voice actor and coach Bob Bergen about his life’s ambition to become the voice of Porky Pig at Warner Brothers and how he achieved his goal.

Every day brought several lectures by voice artists of renown including Rodney Saulsberry, Connie Terwilliger, Frank Frederick, Chris Wagner, Pat Fraley, James Alburger and Penny Abshire, Gregory Best, Bettye Zoller, MJ Lallo, and DB Cooper.

Each voice talent left with something different from the conference to improve their craft, learning from the lecturers and each other. Many took the opportunity to share their thoughts during a question and answer period chaired by James Alburger.

Voice talent Nick Summers (http://www.nicksummersvo.com) of Los Angeles commented, “My attitude toward my professional life has been recharged because of this (VOICE 2007)”.

South African native Stephanie Clair, voice talent, intimated, “What I’ve learned here will catapult into a new, energized human being”.

Organizers Frank Frederick, James Alburger and Penny Abshire received a standing ovation for their efforts and success of the conference, sharing hugs, tears of joy, and fellowship with all participants at the first ever Voiceover International Creative Experience (VOICE).

Voices.com co-founder, Stephanie Ciccarelli says, “VOICE 2007 was an incredible opportunity and experience for Voices.com as well as the entire industry. Our hats are off to James, Penny and Frank. We congratulate them on this achievement with grateful hearts and look forward to returning as Premiere Sponsors at VOICE 2008.”
