Perry Homes expands Workmanship Warranty coverage to two years

For more than 35 years, Perry Homes has blended quality construction with versatile designs and customer satisfaction to gain the trust of homebuyers in Texas. With more than 35,000 Perry Homes sold, many to repeat buyers, Perry Homes’ reputation for quality and value is evident.

And, the commitment to the homeowner doesn’t end at closing. Perry Homes now offers a two-year Workmanship Warranty covering workmanship and materials on new homes. This expanded coverage is a part of the 10-year Texas home warranty. Individual product manufacturers’ warranties are also provided.

The Texas Residential Construction Commission requires all builders provide a one-year warranty on workmanship and materials. Perry Homes can confidently double this coverage based on the quality products, inspections and workmanship that go into building a new home.

Perry Homes uses only the highest quality products in the construction of new homes, including Elk 30-year architectural shingles; Hardiplank trim, soffit and exterior siding; Sherwin Williams paint; Honeywell thermostats; and Delta faucets.

Before, during and after construction, a battery of professional inspections and reviews are conducted by third-party engineers and surveyors. Licensed Texas engineers structurally design Perry Homes to meet wind requirements of the International Residential Code. The installation of heating, ventilating and cooling (HVAC) equipment, plumbing and electrical wiring is monitored through thorough testing and inspections. And, gas lines are pressure-tested and water lines are checked for leaks.

Plus, Perry Homes builds homes that meet or exceed both the Greater Houston Builders Association’s Green Building Initiative and Energy Star guidelines designed to increase energy efficiency and protect the environment. Energy-saving features include 14 SEER Goodman air conditioners, Certainteed insulation, LP TechShield radiant barriers and high-efficiency insulated low-E glass windows.

In Houston, Perry Homes builds homes from the $100,000s to the $580,000s with sizes ranging from 1,200 to 7,200 square feet. In 2006, Perry Homes saw a record year for new home sales with more than 3,000 sold– an 8.7 percent increase over 2005.
