ART+ interviewed Hossam Ramzy, well known percussionist and music arranger about his new album Bedouin Tribal Dance. Hossam said that in this album he tried to show his bedouin friends, with whom he recorded the album, are living in the 21st Century with laptops and cars, even though they cling to their bedouin culture. The bedouins who recorded the album are living in tents in the desert but have cell phones and laptops. Hossam's favourite song on the album is a very poetic ballad called 'Enta we bas' or 'Only you.'

Hossam will have a DVD of this album in the summer. Hossam also talked about his work with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Robert Plant on their No Quarter Unledded album. Hossam said that he had used Egyptian music to rearrange 3 of the songs on this album: Kashmir, Friends and Four Sticks.

In the interview Hossam talked about his album Sabla Tolo - a play on words of Tabla Solo and said that he has fun with his music and it is meant for entertaining and uplifting the dancers. He also talked about why he loves to compose dance music and why his music is uplifting.
