The Big Cold Turkey, based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, would like to announce the sponsorship of rising Formula Ford star Linton Stutely. The Big Cold Turkey is an idea that makes giving up a lot more fun. Individuals can choose to give up whatever they want which means anyone and everyone can do it.

It is based on the same principle as training and running a Marathon, working up from 5km, 10km and 21km to the full marathon 42km! Only this time it's in terms of days - 5, 10, 21 and 42 days. The Big Cold Turkey uses a silicone wristband and has a uniquely created reward system of using stainless steel trophies that reward and mark the stages of the marathon.

The Big Cold Turkey comes in a shrink wrapped, cigarette-box sized pack and includes: A Getting Started booklet, 4 stainless steel trophies in a paper wrap, 2 button badges, a 42-day 'One day at a time' diary and even a transfer tattoo. Once you've opened the pack you can re-seal it and use it as a savings box and now the agency that designed The Big Cold Turkey have teamed up with local driver Linton Stutely to promote both The Big Cold Turkey and Linton, along with Getem Racing.

The Formula Ford season kicked off on Monday 9th April at Oulton Park, with a crowd in excess of 40,000 to see all the action. Linton is part of a new team with a new engine, chassis and sponsor. Qualifying went very well with Linton achieving 3rd place, and during the race containing 24 runners Linton achieved a very creditable 6th.

“Now that I am racing in a competitive car at the front end of the grid” says Linton, “I know I have a lot to learn in terms of overtaking and outbraking drivers who have the car to race me on level terms, and I know, even after this first race, where improvements can be made. I am pleased with the start I have made, and grateful to all those who have given me this great start to the season…my team, engineers, loyal supporters, and especially The Big Cold Turkey for their help, support and advice in moving the team forward”.
