April 15, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
The Simon Pearce Restaurant in West Chester, PA, winner of the 2006 Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence” for having one of the most outstanding wine lists in the world, is once again participating in the annual event, “Dining Out for Life,” to raise funds for local organizations involved in the fight against HIV & AIDS.

This year, the event will be held on Thursday, April 26th. The Simon Pearce restaurant will donate 33% of the proceeds to benefit Action AIDS, AIDS Delaware and AIDS Coalition of Southern New Jersey.

Anton Vicar, Simon Pearce Director of Restaurant Operations, states, “We are pleased to be a part of this wonderful international event again. We have been participating for the last three years and feel that every little bit we can do to help our local community is a step in the right direction. AIDS is a disease that affects more people than some care to realize. It is an honor to be part of a thoughtful group of restaurants that are doing something to fight this painful disease.”

Simon Pearce offers fine dining on Simon Pearce signature glass and pottery tableware with a view of the Brandywine River from every table. To complete this experience, guests can shop the retail store for Simon Pearce designs.

About Dining Out for Life
Dining Out For Life® is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of volunteers, corporate sponsors and restaurants. In 1991 Dining Out For Life® was created by an ActionAIDS volunteer in Philadelphia. In 1993, ActionAIDS made it an international event offering licenses to AIDS Service Organizations around the country. Since Dining Out for Life International's founding the event has grown throughout North America and is now produced in over 33 cities. More than 2,500 restaurants a year donate a portion of their proceeds from this one special night of dining to the licensed agency in their city. Over $2 million dollars a year is raised to support the missions of agencies throughout North America. With the exception of the annual licensing fee of $600, all money raised in these cities stays there. For more information, please visit DiningOutForLife.com
