New Poetry Book by Linda Eve Diamond: The Human Experience

Business book author, Linda Eve Diamond, has slipped out of her business books and into the cool sheets of a little book of poems. The poetry book is a break-out from her traditional role as a business book writer, allowing her to explore a range of writing on both deeper and lighter notes and to enjoy the freedom of word play. One reader wrote that she plays with words "the way children play with sand.”

The Human Experience often sways from a focus on solitude to one on relationships. Communication is a strong theme in Diamond’s work—from her business books to her upcoming listening book and her www.ListenersUnite.com website. Many of the poems focus on listening, such as “I, Unleashed,” about a woman listening to herself, and “Projections,” about a husband and wife who struggle to see and hear one another through layers of projections and perceptions. The Human Experience strives to explore connections, even reaching out to the reader through a love poem titled, “You and Me.”

Diamond was recently interviewed by Kay Day of The Writer magazine and featured in her article: "Crossing Genres from Journalist/Author to Poet" (WriterMag.com, March 22, 2007). Day says in the article: "Humor is a strong element in Diamond's poems, an attribute that makes any poetry book more user friendly.” Diamond is excited to share this other side of her writing and to continue giving poetry readings. Kay quotes the business writer/poet as saying: "Even just taking the time to write poetry feels like a guilty little pleasure, so it's very freeing to come out with a poetry book and promote it."

Linda Eve Diamond.com, the author’s main website, now features a “Poetry” page and an "Events" page, which will be regularly updated. Diamond invites feedback to info@LindaEveDiamond.com and has added a “Reader Comments” section to the poetry page.

The Human Experience was recently released by ASJA Press (ISBN: 0595420958) and is available through all major online bookstores, including Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com. All of Diamond's books and reviews are linked through www.LindaEveDiamond.com.
