Thompson Pump Announces 2006 Employees of the Year

PORT ORANGE, Fla. (April 2007) – Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc., is pleased to recognize and congratulate Salesman of the Year, Larry Watson, Branch Manager of the Year, Pat DeWitt, and Distinguished Customer Service, Jay Giardina, for 2006.

Thompson Pump honored the following Sales Representative with the coveted Quota Buster award: Rick Waters, Jim Templeton, Jay Giardina, Jake Brunner, Jerry Golden, Dan Gutierrez, David Perry, Pat Kennedy, Jason Roberson, Pat DeWitt, Larry Watson, and Alan Worley.

In recognition of Outstanding Achievement on behalf of the company and their customers, the following special awards were presented: The Silver Sledgehammer to Pat Kennedy. The Silver Rake to Ashton Milam and Jason Roberson. The Silver Shovel to Dennis Heater, Jim Templeton, and Rick Waters.

Salesman of the Year, Larry Watson, a two-year Thompson Pump veteran, manages his South Carolina territory from Thompson’s Myrtle Beach branch. Watson provides pump demonstrations and pumping expertise for customers on job sites where his experience and support can provide solutions to challenging applications immediately.

Pat DeWitt, Branch Manager in Savannah, Ga., wins the Branch Manager award for the second year in a row. DeWitt opened the branch with just one other team member and grew the location to employ nine persons. He attributes his continued success to an incredible branch staff that works together to manage daily pump rentals, sales, and service.

Jay Giardina wins the Distinguished Customer Service award for his efforts aiding in the continued relief of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. Giardina is the first recipient of this coveted award.
