Community Megastar Award Winners Announced

The 2007 Community Megastar Award winners were announced by award creator, Julia-Isabel Davenport, owner of Maximize Your Publicity, LLC. The unique award recognizes micro-businesses for their community outreach. There were two categories: 15 or less employees, or just one employee. This year the award was made available nationally, with winners possible from every community. Winners are: Dr. Todd Rowe, president of American Medical College of Homeopathy in Phoenix, Todd Smith, owner of Azmyth Financial in Phoenix, Sheri McBroom, with Re/Max Integrity Realtors of Glendale, Arizona, Barbara Scofidio, owner of NOA Jewelry, Find Handcrafts and Gifts in Groton, Massachusetts, and Susan Asher owner of Thyme-out Tea Parties in Quincy, Illinois.

"The winners are truly community megastars. Donating their time and talent they make their communities stronger," said Davenport. Dr. Rowe donates 150 hours a month to make a difference in the something as essential as people's health, initiating the formation of the first homeopathic medical school in the country. Todd Smith volunteers time to help adults make smarter financial decisions. Sheri McBroom is passionate about raising funds to educate and heal children. Barbara Scofidio uses her energies to create economic development for Groton, MA. Susan Asher values disaster preparedness and volunteers her time educating citizens as well as helping non-profits with fund raising efforts in Adams County and Quincy, IL.
