A brand new website, Rap4aBuck, has been launched to lend credence, get exposure and sell the music of small independent record labels and artists in the genres of Hip Hop, Rap, Reggae and R&B. The label or artist can sign up FREE of charge to submit music, 3-songs and as many as 24-songs to the catalog. The consumer can listen to music for FREE, buy one track/song via mp3 download or purchase a whole album at a price 25% lower than at a retail outlet.

As the name suggest, Rap4aBuck, will be $1.00 for each downloaded song. The consumer can download as many songs as he likes. Record labels and artists get to recoup studio time, mixing, production, artwork design and other incidentals immediately. Labels and artists save time and money by avoiding the need to manufacture CDs. The consumer gets the latest original hip hop music via mp3 download thus avoiding shipping costs and can buy ONLY what he likes.

A spokesman for Rap4aBuck.com, Nathan Clump, said that the new site would feature ads from individuals and corporations. In addition, an intense PR campaign will be launched over the next two months as new artists are recruited to submit their original tracks to the site. Also, strategic alliances will be formed with small independent record labels and artists in the near future.

Labels and artists are encouraged to promote themselves using Rap4aBuck.com. As part of the signup package, a FREE web page is given to add profiles, including pictures and sound tracks. Unsigned artists can add links to websites, send out email to databases, send out flyers and postal mail drops all in support of their music at their new 24-hour online storefront, Rap4aBuck.com.

The first independent record label to take advantage of this innovative method of delivering music to the consumer is eMultimedia Group. Recently teaming up with Jair Dynast to release his producer album, “Curriculum Vitae” digitally in December 2004, eMultimedia Group saw the new web site as a great way to secure additional online sales worldwide for their flagship artist.
