Thomson Directories has announced that it has promoted Jill Pringle to Head of Marketing, reporting to Product and Marketing Director, Gary Brown. Pringle was previously Usage Marketing Manager.

Pringle is tasked with growing usage, developing the brand and integrating the communications strategy. She will also be responsible for heading up the print product, pricing, research and marketing analysis teams.

Commenting on the challenges ahead, Pringle said: “I’m looking forward to attacking usage with bold initiatives such as our Nectar partnership and recently launched print directory ‘The Book’. Thomson Local is providing real reasons for users to choose us over other directories. I will be developing simple, focused communications campaigns to ensure our users and customers know about that, reinforcing the message that The Book from Thomson Local is the only directory that gives you Nectar points.”

Before joining Thomson Directories, Pringle was Sales & Marketing Manager for the Philharmonia Orchestra in London, and worked on shows marketing manager for the Royal Horticultural Society.
