TeleAlarm, LLC. Adds New Layer of Protection by Acquiring SafetyCare™

READING, P.A. – April 22, 2007 – TeleAlarm, LLC,
provider of emergency response systems for five
decades, is further enhancing its services through the
acquisition of the SafetyCare monitoring center,
company officials announced today.

“We are pleased to be acquiring the assets of
SafetyCare, as it is only one of a few companies
globally incorporating life-safety monitoring with
other health and wellness services,” said Mike Bodnar,
a TeleAlarm executive who has been named general
manager of SafetyCare, based in Reading, Pa.

Along with processing emergency signals from its
existing line of wireless emergency call systems,
TeleAlarm is now staffed with dedicated first
responders who have been tasked with providing a
higher level of monitoring service and care to seniors
and individuals with special needs. SafetyCare
monitoring professionals are experienced in handling a
myriad of emergency situations and safeguarding the
welfare of customers.

TeleAlarm, known as an industry leader in the
marketing and servicing of wireless emergency call
systems, can now offer its customers immediate access
to professionals in time of a health crisis or other
critical incident. SafetyCare services will provide an
impressive layer of added protection to TeleAlarm
customers, most of whom are elderly residents in
assisted living facilities or residing at home.

TeleAlarm is known in the industry for affording its
customers a full emergency call system, linked
wirelessly to a main station. For people residing in
assisted living facilities or at home, they simply
need to press a button to alert a care provider. The
wireless device, in the form of a bracelet or pendant,
can also track customers in case of an emergency.

Now, with the enhanced benefit of SafetyCare,
TeleAlarm provides a fully integrated emergency call
system for senior care facilities with an added layer
of back-up protection through the monitoring of the
entire system by first responders in the company’s new
central station.

“If staffing at an assisted living facility happens to
be low, perhaps due to holidays, vacations or
unplanned absences, SafetyCare plays an important
role,” Bodnar explained. “In the rare occurrence when
an emergency call for assistance is missed or not
responded to by a care provider in a facility, that
emergency call can be immediately routed to
SafetyCare’s central station, where trained first
responders can provide assistance.

“Through this important acquisition of SafetyCare, we
are adding an extra layer of care and protection for
all of our customers, whether they are living in an
assisted living residence or at home,” he added. “It
is a level of protection that others simply cannot
provide.”

To underscore its greatly expanded services, TeleAlarm
is changing its name to SafetyCare Technologies, LLC.

Unlike other monitoring companies, SafetyCare ensures
its staff has the right experience for the job.
SafetyCare customers access the 24-hour-a-day system
at the press of a button. Immediately, they gain voice
contact with an experienced first responder at
SafetyCare headquarters. The highly trained team
includes emergency medical technicians, police, fire
and emergency dispatchers, all of whom have years of
experience working with people in need.

In preparation for the acquisition, TeleAlarm has
undertaken a $2 million renovation of an
8,000-square-foot facility in Reading, Pa., making it
possible to accommodate the enhanced SafetyCare
technology and manpower.

TeleAlarm will price SafetyCare services at a level
relative to the current market, which offers far less
services, rendering the competition virtually
obsolete. For more information, please log on to
