LEOPARD PRINT GOLF CLOTHING MAKING ITS MARK ON THE COURSE

A new trend in women’s golf apparel, adopting the sexy fabrics and fitted look typical of high fashion to activewear, apparently is taking hold on the course, particularly in the Northeastern United States, according to a leading designer.

Women's golf apparel designer Tracey Lynn Blake said today that women, particularly in the Northeast, are buying her recently-released leopard print golf skort and matching shirt so quickly that she is already having difficulty keeping the items in stock.
Blake, the founder of http://www.traceylynngolf.com, a fashion-forward women's golf clothing line for younger and athletically-built players, said: "Our research was correct – sales show women want ladies golf clothing that is fitted, flattering, and made from performance-enhancing athletic fabrics that mirror the latest fashion colors and cuts."

Her leopard print collection also includes a matching jacket and flared pants. Blake keeps plenty of small sizes in stock – down to XS and 2 – which her research showed were the hardest to find. The smallest sizes of her leopard print line had to be restocked within weeks of its initial release, she said.

"I'm not sure why, but women in Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey are buying my leopard print far more often than any other part of my spring collection," Blake said, adding that "Although not as frequently, we have also sold the leopard print to women in California and Hawaii."

The same skort and shirt pattern, plus matching mock turtlenecks, are now displayed on Blake's Web site. They were designed in red, black and white for summer.

"It's a line of separates which you can mix and match into a dozen different outfits that will make you look great and feel even better on the course this summer," Blake said.

The tracey lynn women’s golf clothing line is sold directly to consumers on the Internet and select pro shops and clothing boutiques.
