International Erosion Control Association’s Government Relations Blog Gains Popularity

April 28, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
The International Erosion Control Association’s government relations blog recently made the list of fastest growing blogs hosted by WordPress.com. The government relations blog ranked 67 out of more than 800,000 blogs in terms of traffic growth.

The blog was started in November 2005 by the IECA Government Relations Committee as a tool to communicate with IECA members about legislative updates in a timely manner. The RSS feed helps keep members, many of whom are working outside of traditional offices, connected to issues that affect their careers.

“Many of our members expressed a desire to be involved or informed about legislative issues, but didn’t know where to begin,” said Becky Milot-Bradford, association development director. “This blog gives them a place to get news, voice opinions and learn about calls to action.”
