Application Process Opens for Writers’ Residencies in Santa Fe and Puerto Vallarta

BelleCora Press & Workshops is accepting applications from writers for its annual Fall Writers’ Residency Awards. Writers at all levels of development are encouraged to apply.

The Fall One Month Residency provides housing and work space in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico from October 1 to November 1, 2007. A residency for Fiction/Creative Non-fiction and another for Non-fiction will be awarded a one month work-stay in Puerto Vallarta. The Fall Two Month Residency provides housing and work space from October 1- December 1, 2007, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. Only one applicant will receive this award.

Candidates must complete the application form provided on the BelleCora website and submit work in progress or a project concept, as outlined on the application. Applicants should email the completed application with attachments as instructed on the application page.

The Puerto Vallarta award includes private bedroom, bath, lounge-workspace, and patio, at a retreat facility in central Puerto Vallarta. Shared use of the common areas of the retreat facility, two meals daily, ground transportation to and from airport, local tours, and housekeeping are also included. The award does not include transportation to Puerto Vallarta from the writers’ location.

The Santa Fe Residency includes housing in a two bedroom casita with private patio, walking distance to the Santa Fe Plaza, all utilities, and ground transportation to and from Albuquerque International Airport. Transportation to Albuquerque from your location, meals, housekeeping, long-distance phone service and local tours are not included in this residency award.
