SAM (STORE AND MOVE) LAUNCHES ONE-WAY RENTALS

May 02, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
SAM (Store and Move), a portable self-storage and moving container service that launched in January 2006, is now offering one-way, interstate rentals to customers in more than 3,400 cities across the country.
“Currently, only two companies in the portable moving container industry are offering one-way, interstate rentals and SAM is the first to do so with an existing national infrastructure, dealers with extensive experience in the moving industry and a container that was designed with moving a consumer’s belongings in mind,” said Tom McCormick, chief operating officer of SAM. “In addition, SAM is the only portable moving container company offering online booking for its one-way rentals.”
Recognizing the criticality of providing a safe and secure environment for customers’ belongings throughout a move and while in storage, SAM is designed with 16 unique tie-down rings, locking wheels and superior construction. Instead of picking up a rental truck and fighting the loading ramp, SAM is conveniently delivered to the customer’s residence and placed at ground level for easy packing and unpacking. Consumers with a "do-it-yourself" disposition can take their time loading and unloading the SAM because they aren't faced with the short turn around time that comes with renting a moving truck. Once the container is packed, a SAM representative picks up and moves the container to the new location, again allowing customers the freedom to unpack at their leisure.
“Safe, simple and secure describes the moving and storage process with a SAM,” said McCormick. “Our mission is to provide customers with the opportunity to store and move themselves while offering convenience, peace of mind and extra support along the way.”
SAM offers an expert support center with knowledgeable and trained service representatives. For more information about SAM services, please call 800-get-asam or visit www.getasam.com.
