Sonny Burgess Closes Season for 'Kids Who Care' International Theatre

(Nashville, Tennessee) - CPI recording artist, Sonny Burgess has been chosen to headline the closing of the Kids Who Care, Resident Company's 2006-2007 season. Kids Who Care is a non-profit international theatre company based in Fort Worth, Texas. It's mission revolves around producing confident and creative children through musical theatre education and performance. The event will close with the one-night performance of Deep in the Heart on May 4th, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. The performances will be held at The Scott Theatre in the Fort Worth Cultural District.

This is the first time that Sonny has performed for the Kids Who Care event. Although, he has participated in their summer program Cookin' For Kids. He explains, "This is a wonderful organization and I am proud to be part of the closing event this year."

Founder and Executive Director of Kids Who Care, Deborah Jung stated, "Sonny is the real thing — the kind of Texan we can all be proud of. He has incredible talent with a big generous heart. I am thrilled that the kids get to work with him!"

Sonny's second album, Stronger, has yielded three solid chart singles, “Jesus and Bartenders,” “The More I’m Around Some People, The More I Like My Dog,” and “A Little Bit Stronger.”

The one-night performance, including Kids Who Care's Deep in the Heart and a Sonny Burgess concert, will run Friday, May 4th, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at The Scott Theatre, 1300 Gendy St. in Fort Worth. For ticket information please visit www.kidswhocare.org
