New York, NY (May 2007): Can EuroRock2007 really change the world?
Though it would seem presumptuous that rock’n’roll can change the world for the better, the collective that forms EuroRock is still willing to try. EuroRock2007 will be filmed documenting the tours quest to show the world that we can all work together despite where we are from, what religion we are, what color we are or what type of music we listen to.

EuroRock was conceived in 2005 by Backstage Pass Productions founder LouRicca to tell the world that we can all work together no matter where we are from, what religious beliefs we have or what politician runs our country. The kick-off tour in 2006 was accepted way beyond our expectations, with many people curious as to the format and mission of EuroRock. EuroRock is not only multi-national, but multi-genre, rock’n’roll.

EuroRock is 14 talented bands from all over the world, including the USA, “Rockin’ the World for Peace”. This year, EuroRock will be followed by film maker Victor Coliccio and his film crew documenting the entire east coast tour for film and a special television preview. Victor is responsible for writing and producing films such as “Summer of Sam” directed by Spike Lee as well as “High Times Pot Luck” and has appeared in many television and movie productions.

EuroRock bands scheduled so far are: Powderhog from Denmark, The Models from Sweden, Exit Avenue from London, xms3 from Wales, Midterm Break from Scotland, Running with Scissors from Africa, Antonius from Switzerland, Ruthie Bram from the Mid East, Friendly Fire from Canada, Denise Vasquez, Dionne Lennon, Jon Royce, and surprise guests from the states as well.

All bands arrive in New York City from Europe on August 28th for the kick-off show and finish the first East Coast leg September 23rd. A Westward leg is planned and will begin September 28th and continue into California from the south and into Seattle by late October. From November to January 2008, we move the tour to the United Kingdom and plan to bring EuroRock2007 to a close and, at the same time, begin EuroRock2008. EuroRock2008 will then regroup at then end of January 2008 and launch in the Spring of 2008. EuroRock is split into two nights for each venue. Music industry professional Robert Forte will be the tour manager.

A portion of all the proceeds will benefit the Product (Red) Initiative. Product (Red) is an initiative begun by U2 frontman Bono and Bobby Shriver of Debt AIDS Trade in Africa to raise money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. Each partner company creates a product with the Product Red logo. In return for the opportunity to increase their own revenue through the Product Red products they sell, a percentage of the profit is given to the Global Fund.
EuroRock is currently seeking sponsors and media coverage for this once in a lifetime event.
