WITH summer on the way and the seemingly endless pursuit of finding activities to keep the kids occupied and off the streets, there has never been a better time to introduce youngsters to Paintballing. All the excitement takes place in a safe outdoor environment and all the required equipment will be provided by the site.

Youngsters get the perfect opportunity to tear around a specially designed arena, meaning they get some essential exercise alongside having some great fun. The Banbury Paintball site is proving extremely popular amongst youngsters in the Northamptonshire area. Their collection of fantastic game zones are all set within 30 acres of spectacular woodland surroundings.

Martin Gore, 44, from Birmingham, arranged a trip to the Banbury site for his local youth club during the school holidays.“We wanted an activity that was going to give them a good work out without them realising it!” said Martin.
The prices at the Banbury Paintball site are very reasonable and the junior packages are currently extremely popular, particularly now the weather is improving. Martin believes that the upturn in the popularity of Paintball is linked to the quest by parents and local Government incentives to get kids to be more active. The participants spend a large part of the session moving around the arena, often hiding out in towers and bunkers.

“All the parents were very pleased that the kids had gone paintballing. They basically spent the day running round in a completely safe environment, doing an activity that was both competitive and enjoyable,” said Martin.

Protective clothing and goggles are provided by the venue, and all participants are briefed on safety before they enter the exciting “war zone”. Team and individual games can be staged, all taking place within a realistic combat environment. A number of exciting game scenarios can be staged by Banbury’s staff members, meaning Paintballing can be adapted depending on the groups experience and ability, without taking anything away from the enjoyment.

Marshals operate within the game environment, ensuring that all the action takes place in the correct spirit and also passing on helpful tips and techniques. The Paintballing trip to Banbury was such a success for Martin’s group that they are now in the process of arranging a second trip to the site in mid-May.

“All the kids enjoyed the session, their parents were glad that the day got them out from in front of the television and in to the great outdoors for a few hours and the youth club were pleasantly surprised at how little the day cost us, so everybody was a winner really!”
