(Mount Olive, NC)— Andy’s Cheesesteaks and Cheeseburgers, one of the Southeast’s fastest growing “fast casual” restaurants, recently announced its charitable foundation has chosen Special Olympics of North Carolina to receive a portion of its quarterly charitable funds. With The Andy’s Charitable Foundation donating to this organization, Special Olympics athletes will continue to be able to participate in the games at no cost to them.

The Andy’s Foundation was established by CEO and President of Andy’s, Kenney Moore. What began in 2000 as a golf tournament benefiting specific charities, evolved into a foundation that serves a large number of local charities surrounding the Andy’s Cheesesteaks and Cheeseburgers restaurants. The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, focusing on those organizations that specialize in helping children and families.

“We’re very proud to be able to support Special Olympics North Carolina,” stated Kenney Moore, president and owner of Andy’s Cheesesteaks and Cheeseburgers. “Giving back to the community is very important to Andy’s, and we’re happy to do all that we can to support this organization.”

At Andy’s, guests are greeted by an energetic and friendly staff and offered a variety of fresh, made-to-order menu items. Their new, expansive menu features special Jukebox Triple Play items, hot cooked to order cheesesteaks and Andy’s burgers, thick milkshakes and fresh lemon- and orange-ades. Andy’s recently began their Big “A” Burger Challenge, which invites all guests to attempt to eat a 50-ounce burger in 30 minutes. Any customer who successfully achieves this receives their meal for free. Each Andy’s restaurant features an open grill where guests can watch the cooks prepare their food and enjoy the atmosphere of a fast-paced 50’s style diner.
