This year Ozzie Osborn’s Par 3 golf course invites families to bring their moms to play golf on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 13. For one day only, all mothers will receive one complementary round of golf.

With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, fathers and their children are scrambling to put together a meaningful gift. Many people will end up spending lot of money on their beloved moms by showering them with candy, cards and flowers.

“We want families to enjoy spending time together,” said Ozzie Osborn, 86-year old owner who spends a lot of time with his family.

“We’re a Ma and Pop business,” he explained. Osborn works side-by-side his wife of 62 years, Rhonda who he affectionately calls “Mom.”

Osborn and his wife, Rhonda first met in 1945 through Ozzie’s younger sister. They instantly fell in love and married.

The couple traveled all over the world during Osborn’s 22-year career in the United States Navy. During that time, Rhonda gave birth to their two sons, Rod and Marty, who also work at the family’s golf course.

On this Mother’s Day, Rhonda and Ozzie encourage other families to make meaningful memories with loved ones.

Located in Santa Paula, the course is surrounded by scenic mountain ranges and agricultural fields. Because its adjacent to the Santa Paula Airport, golfers can watch a variety of antique aircraft flying overhead.

Moms can also stroll through the golf course’s rose garden. With more than 100 mature rose bushes currently in full bloom, they will enjoy this vibrant and aromatic experience.

“Our course is kid-friendly and the prices are more affordable than going to the movies,” Osborn said.

Weekend and holiday rates will apply to all others during this promotion; nine holes for $10 per person or 18 holes for $15. No reservations are needed. First come, first served and no spectators are allowed.

Ozzie’s Par 3 is located on 17801 South Mountain Lemon Rd in Santa Paula. It is open 7 days per week from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
