SAVANNAH, GA Buy Local Savannah is proud to welcome Joe Ippolito, Owner and President of River Horse Internet Marketing, to speak at the May Business Lecture Series taking place at The Pirates House on May 31st at noon

Ippolito will address the topic of Internet marketing, covering subjects such as the role of blogs, Meta data creation, copywriting, search engines and directories, and campaign development. "Using the Internet as an important part of your marketing mix is still a fairly new concept and therefore still a little confusing to navigate for some," states Ippolito. "It used to be you just had a website because everyone else did; that's not enough now. You need set your website apart to get ranked."

Ippolito realized his dream of starting his own business in January of 2006 with the creation of River Horse Internet Marketing. His goal with the new company was to untangle the world of Internet marketing and to help his clients see the potential in marketing themselves within this medium. He certainly succeeded. In what was supposed to be his "building year" Joe has already secured national clients such as Melaver and Dulles Cosmetic Surgery. His business philosophy is to simply focus on the client, which he does by keeping his growing portfolio of clients manageable and giving each one his undivided attention.

Prior to the creation of River Horse Internet Marketing, Joe worked as Sales Manager at eMarketSouth, an Internet and website design firm, where he was responsible for securing and maintaining client relationships. He is a Past President of Buy Local Savannah and current board member, he serves on the Legend's Community Program Grant Committee benefiting the United Way, is and executive member of the local University of Alabama Alumni Chapter, and serves on the IT Program Advisory Committee for South University where he assists in evaluating current trends in the workforce for tech jobs and South University's curriculum.

Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. The lunch is $20 for members and $30 for non-members and includes lunch, drink, and gratuity. The event is open to the public.
