Xlibris Unveils New Poetry Book

May 11, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Another Xlibris poetry book is off the presses and ready for release. Entitled, These Audacious Maples, it is the creation of Paul O. Williams – a prolific writer and publisher. Written in the unique tanka form, These Audacious Maples is a collection of 98 poems that takes on 11 various subjects. It is also the first of its kind from Williams.

Tanka is an older form of Japanese poetry than the more popular haiku that employs the 5-7-5 / 7-7 mora pattern. Williams has inclined recently toward the use of tanka as an economical form of poetry, and this inclination is evident in These Audacious Maples.

These Audacious Maples is foreworded by Michael Dylan Welch with a short introduction by Williams himself.
