Suffern, NY (May 12 2007) – Wide World of Cars, LLC and the photographers of Feric Atelier will host the opening of Escapes, a photography exhibit to raise funds for Good Samaritan Hospital’s Active International Cardiovascular Institute on June 21 from 6p.m.-9p.m. at Wide World of Cars showroom in Spring Valley, N.Y.

This photo exhibition, featuring the international talents of the photographers of Ferich Atelier will showcase the artists’ unique visions of the world around them in an effort to support the new Active International Cardiovascular Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital. Framed in the luxurious setting of the Wide World of Cars, the captivating images will provide compelling viewing and bring art and community together for a common purpose.

Good Samaritan Hospital will benefit from the sale of all displayed works, with proceeds going to support the Active International Cardiovascular Institute, a regional cardiac care center which opened its doors in January 2007.

Heart disease remains the number one killer in America, and in the Lower Hudson Valley the mortality rate is up to 23% higher than the national average. Good Samaritan Hospital decided to confront this problem head-on by building a state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Institute which is the only facility between the New Jersey border and Albany able to perform open heart surgery.

The show opening will begin at 6 p.m. on June 21 and include a cocktail reception. The artwork will remain on exhibit at Wide World of Cars through July 21.

Good Samaritan Hospital is part of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, which also includes St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick, NY and Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY. Additionally, Bon Secours Charity Health System provides the services of a Certified Home Health Agency, two long-term care facilities, an assisted living and adult home facility and several other medical programs.
