To celebrate both their five-year anniversary this month and the grand opening of their online store, CJD Aware! is proud to introduce their 'Support CJD Research Mug'. This mug is now available on their website at www.cjdaware.com. A portion of the sales proceeds of each mug will go to The National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center in Cleveland, Ohio to assist the doctors in their continuing research towards finding treatment and cure of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD).

"CJD Aware! has made great strides," remarked Christy Brom, the founder and Director of the non-profit, information organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana. "We started our organization in the spring of 2002, after the death of my mother, Sara Brom, from the sporadic form of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease on November 12, 2000. To mark our progress, we felt there was no better way to celebrate than by introducing our "Support CJD Research Mug" and opening our online store. The mug is just the first of several unique items that will be available on our online store in the future," added Ms. Brom.

"We have a wonderful core of dedicated and talented volunteers who are assisting us with our work both locally and out-of-state as we continue to expand," replied Lori Brom, CJD Aware!
